The CRaFTC project is implemented under the programme of social cohesion “THALIA 2021-2027” co-funded by the European Union, through Research and Innovation Foundation.
The main aim of this project is to create a New Team in Cyprus, for serving the area of Complex-Fluids Research and Rheology, with an emphasis on Fluidics/Microfluidics Technology. This aim shall be achieved by acquiring new state of the art equipment, by utilizing existing equipment and facilities, by recruiting new staff, and by engaging Expert Scientists/Researchers and Laboratories from other Academic/Research Institutions and Enterprises. The CRaFTC project will create the necessary facility and synergies for solving fundamental and industrial Rheology and Flow problems, with the aid of the dynamically growing capabilities of Fluidics and Deep Learning Data Processing.
The Project Coordinator, Dr. Efstathios Kaliviotis, and his Biorheology Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering at the Cyprus University of Technology (MEMSE-CUT) will lead this initiative. The University of Cyprus, the CYENS Centre of Excellence and EMBIO Diagnostics Ltd, are partnering for realising the aims of the project.
